Portfolio review...

Just an update to recap some work from previous shows...a bit of an archive.

UPDATES...MAY 2012

Thanks again for all the support over the last few months. Its been busy in the studio with the Artist Project wrapping up and the interest coming out of that with commissions and follow ups. Thanks to all who made it out to the booth to say hello as usual, its always great chatting and meeting new peeps. A few exhibitions to talk about both ongoing and coming up so...
Urban Manipulation is currently on at Kingston Glass Studio and Gallery  and continues into early June.
The Bartlett Gallery in Alton On is showing 6 paintings of mine as well until months end.
Tonight, May 2 is the opening preview to the AGH Spring Sale. The show runs through the weekend til the 6th. Love Hamilton.
BACKBEAT Books & Music in Perth On will be exhibiting 8-10 paintings, both new and old ( like a good Neil Young track listing ) starting Friday May 11th running til the beginning of June.
Fingers crossed for acceptance into the TOAE in July as well as the TIAF in October.
CITYFIELDNORTHSHORE has booked September at PWD Gallery in Waterloo. Exhibition opens September 20th-October 16 2012.
Lots of painting to do so the studio will be hopping. As always , doors are open to visitors so please pop by if you are in the hood.

Urban Manipulation_Kingston Exhibition

 OPENING RECEPTION Saturday Mar 24th. Artists in Attendance.

The exhibition OPENS Saturday Mar 17th and runs into May. I will be at the Opening Reception on the 24th...please come down and say hello. I dropped my paintings off last weekend and got a chance to meet Mischka and see his glasswork. Pretty amazing stuff. The Glassworks Studio and Gallery seems to be the only real gallery space left in my hometown and i hope people get down to attend the openings. There are some great painters in Kingston on top of the amazing glasswork artists. I am only now getting a taste of what the city is missing in terms of its arts community. I would love to see one day where we see a contemporary gallery for fine arts in Kingston again. Wellington Street Gallery has left for Toronto, Edward Day Gallery was one of the first, and Macklin Gallery has seemed to drop the ball on what should have been a prominent leader in connecting the arts to the downtown core. But we need the community to come out to the openings...and hope that a few buy a few pieces from time to time to show that this kind of venue has a life in Kingston.

PERL etc.

Well i'm posting a few things in a row here...first off is the recent PERL of Burlington cocktail fundraiser i had the pleasure of attending and drawing a big chalk drawing of the Niagara Escarpment on a wall backdropping the stage where some of my favorites sang tunes. A great night of Rodney's Oysters and cold drinks...oh and the amazing Colleen Hixenbaugh, Luther Wright, Ron Sexsmith and my dear friend and PERL founder Sarah Harmer. Well done folks...and thanks.
