SKETCHBOOK...

good afternoon all
just showing some recent sketches from the west coast. im addicted to drawing boats. they are amazing. the dimensions and lines border on perfection. i cant help but be fascinated with the line and contour of boats. regardless of the size shape or style...and the way they sit in the water, seemingly weightless. the reflections in the water create a dynamic and design that just begs to be drawn and painted. i think i will now paint some boats. maybe post a few of my favorites throughout the history of art. enjoy....

New Work and Inside the Studio...

Hello folks,
So im back at work. Had a great month in LosAngeles this past June working again with Benny Brady Productions and Mike Roberts ( we won a Juno Award for Best Music Video w RUMBLESEAT in May...) on a new web based After Effects animated series . A sweet project and i look forward to seeing it hit the airwaves. Ive handed in my 3 SQ FT paintings for this weekends Opening to AWOLGallery's 10th Annual SQFT Exhibition. Always a favorite show to be apart of. And of course my upcoming CITYFEILDNORTHSHORE exhibition with my pals Peter Rotter , David Grieve and Joe Sampson. It will be opening Sept20 at PaulaWhiteDiamond Gallery in Waterloo.
November see the CanadianArtCollective opening at 129 Ossington Gallery. ( studio previews for the will be announced mid October.) I will also be exhibiting new work in December with the AWOL Collective gang at AQUA MIAMI. So im gonna revisit my Havana Series from a few years back. As usual my studio is always open for visits and appointments. Please feel free to call or come by if you are interested in seeing the new work or chatting about commissions. Portfolio review...

Just an update to recap some work from previous shows...a bit of an archive.

UPDATES...MAY 2012

Thanks again for all the support over the last few months. Its been busy in the studio with the Artist Project wrapping up and the interest coming out of that with commissions and follow ups. Thanks to all who made it out to the booth to say hello as usual, its always great chatting and meeting new peeps. A few exhibitions to talk about both ongoing and coming up so...
Urban Manipulation is currently on at Kingston Glass Studio and Gallery  and continues into early June.
The Bartlett Gallery in Alton On is showing 6 paintings of mine as well until months end.
Tonight, May 2 is the opening preview to the AGH Spring Sale. The show runs through the weekend til the 6th. Love Hamilton.
BACKBEAT Books & Music in Perth On will be exhibiting 8-10 paintings, both new and old ( like a good Neil Young track listing ) starting Friday May 11th running til the beginning of June.
Fingers crossed for acceptance into the TOAE in July as well as the TIAF in October.
CITYFIELDNORTHSHORE has booked September at PWD Gallery in Waterloo. Exhibition opens September 20th-October 16 2012.
Lots of painting to do so the studio will be hopping. As always , doors are open to visitors so please pop by if you are in the hood.
